While most of America has been perfectly clear that we do not want or need Donald Trump’s pathetic border wall, Trump and his supporters have refused to come to terms with how terrible of an idea it is. In response, Trump lovers shelled out tons of money to support a GoFundMe campaign to provide funding for the wall since Mexico isn’t paying for it and Democrats refuse to give Trump the money. Too bad, though — because the effort FAILED.
A terrible GoFundMe page for the border wall’s construction was created by Brian Kolfage from Florida, who decided to take matters into his own hands after he was tired of watching the president fail to secure funding. However, Kolfage has decided to end the campaign after the $1 billion goal was not met. Kolfage said that even though his fundraiser failed and he’d likely have to refund most of the donations, he has plans to get the wall built himself:
When I created this fundraiser, I said if we did not reach our goal we will refund donors. I am honoring that commitment today. We will promptly refund your donation unless you tell us you approve our new plan for action.”
Kolfage, who is an Air Force veteran, stated that to get the wall build he would start his own charity and pull together resources to start constructing the wall. He also stated that he has the backing of former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach and Blackwater founder Erik Prince. He said:
We are better equipped than our own government to use the donated funds to build an actual wall on the southern border. Our team strongly believes that we can complete our segments of the wall for less than half of the government’s estimated costs on a per mile basis.”
As of Friday afternoon, the campaign had raised $20 million thanks to how passionate Trump supporters get about keeping America white.
BREAKING: The GoFundMe campaign to build Trump’s wall has failed, and GoFundMe is refunding all money.
Womp, womp!

But now that the campaign has ended, Kolfage is in the spotlight as donors wait to see what happens to their donations. He said:
We don’t know [what comes next], we’re just playing it by ear. We’re waiting to see what happens with the wall itself.”
Kolfage said that he’s discussed his fundraiser with someone in Trump’s “inner circle” but would not specify who. Kolfage also insisted that many donors didn’t want their money back. He said:
The American people want the wall.”
Trump supporters may be stupid, but they are persistent. This is going to keep blowing up in their faces if they don’t somehow come back to reality.
