Donald Trump has been getting an awful lot of harsh reality checks from Fox News, signaling a permanent change in the networks’s treatment of America’s worst POTUS.
While Trump used to rely on the conservative network to cater to him and make him look far better than he really was, the network has decreased its lies and fake news over the last several weeks in favor of more truthful reporting and raising valid concerns about where the future of this country is going.
Earlier today, Trump and his supporters got a major reality check when Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano ruined nearly all hope that Trump’s racist border wall would one day be a thing. Even after caving to the Democrats and reopening the government, Trump has been insisting that he will obtain funding for his wall by declaring a national emergency. Judge Napolitano is calling bullsh*t in a new segment, and broke the hard news to Trump’s loyal fans. Judge Napolitano said:
I think the law is very clear and I think the President has been advised of it that if he signs an executive order declaring a national emergency and directing the military to spend money that has not been expressly appropriated for the wall or that has not been expressly appropriated for eminent domain– since much of the real estate on which they want to build the wall is privately owned– I think it’s pretty clear that court will stop him from doing that.”
The conservative judge also stated that Trump is likely continuing to fight for the wall (despite having no support or funding) because he wants to relieve himself of the “political pressure” from his voters and the fact that so many of the things he promised them have not actually happened. Napolitano did not mince his words as he was brutally honest about Trump’s predicament and how dire the situation was. Napolitano said that although he does not “want him to lose,” the Judge is “certain” Trump’s efforts to get the wall funded will “fail.” He said:
So in that scenario he would win by losing.”
