Donald Trump has done a horrendously terrible job at hiding the fact that he is 100 percent terrified of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and what his investigation could mean for him as Mueller closes in. That’s why no one was surprised to see Trump unravel on Twitter earlier today, as he trashed the Special Counsel. The president wrote:
The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess. They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts. They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want. They are a disgrace to our Nation.”

Of course, this tweet looks like many of the erratic, incoherent posts that the president has made before, but former prosecutors have taken to analyzing Trump’s tweets and believe that Trump’s words could reveal something more.
According to The Atlantic, Trump’s “specific” attacks on Mueller are proof that he’s worried sick about the outcome of the investigation. Ex-federal prosecutor Elie Honig said that although Trump’s latest Twitter meltdown “could just be another rant,” it could also be “that prosecutors had some sort of ‘time to get real’ conversation with someone implicated in the investigation, which was then relayed to Trump by defense attorneys.” The president might actually be pretty spooked.
Federal prosecutor Dan Goldman said something similar and made a prediction that Trump was extra anxious because of the coming indictments. Goldman said:
Indictments are coming, probably tomorrow.”
No matter how hard Trump tries to lie about his feelings, we can see right through him.
