Melania Stunned As She Arrives In Africa, Gets A Greeting She’ll Never Forget

People all over the world have protested president Donald Trump whenever he tries to make a visit to their country — and if First Lady Melania Trump somehow thought she was exempt from criticism and the disgust her husband makes people feel on an international level, she just realized she was very wrong.

Melania recently arrived in Malawi as part of her tour of Africa, and she didn’t quite get the warm welcome that she expected. In fact, she was treated pretty much like her husband — as she should for being so complicit with his horrendous presidency.

When the First Lady arrived, she was met with protesters holding signs on the motorcade’s route. Some signs said things like “MELANIATOO” (with “ME” bolded), making reference to Trump’s treatment of sexual assault survivors and his own horrific actions toward women. Another reminded Melania of her husband’s racist comments about “sh*thole” countries, as one sign said “Welcome to Malawi. #NOTASHITHOLE!”

As this is Melania’s “first extended international tour as First Lady,” let’s just say that things didn’t go as smoothly as she had hoped — and she still has to go to Kenya before finally stopping in Egypt. She’s probably praying that the rest of her trip will be much more pleasant, but it’s probably going to be more of the same. Here’s what Melania got during her visit to Malawi:
