Everyone knows that Donald Trump didn’t actually want to be President of the United States – that was evident when he gave his first speech after winning the election, when he looked like a horrific combination of dread and sheer panic. Of course, Trump’s ridiculous ego wouldn’t let him lose, so now he’s stuck in a job that he doesn’t even really want to do — and he’s not the only one.
Trump’s third wife, First Lady Melania Trump, absolutely hates her new life in the White House. Just like her unhinged husband, she had zero interest in serving the American people, and that’s been evident enough in her half-a**ed, failed causes such as cyberbullying (which is laughable, considering her husband ruins her efforts every day). Unlike Michelle Obama, Melania has been trying to avoid her FLOTUS duties every chance she gets, scurrying away to Mar-A-Lago and ditching her husband at major events (although his sex scandals give her plenty of good reason for that). Thanks to a profile in Vanity Fair, we’re getting a bigger snapshot of just how much Melania’s being worn down thanks to her husband’s selfishness, and how much she resents his presidency.
After Melania was forced into her FLOTUS role because her husband just couldn’t lose gracefully, Vanity Fair writer Evgenia Peretz explained:
She never wanted this, and never had any interest.”
Peretz also exposed the fact that Melania had been “terrified” to find out Trump was running for POTUS, because “he might win.” In fact, she was so upset that she tried to ignore it completely. Peretz continued:
Melania seemed to do her best to ignore the new reality, on the grounds that she wanted to be home for Barron. Over the course of Trump’s 17-month campaign, she rarely joined her husband at rallies, and the speeches she gave could be counted on one hand.”
Peretz reveals that Melania just wanted “a luxurious home where she could indulge her hobbies — Pilates and reading fashion magazines, according to People — in peace, and a promise that she would never have to return to drab Eastern-European prospects.” She never wanted any responsibilities – her own longtime confidante, Lisa Bytner, spoke about the absence of motivation in the First Lady:
She was passionate about… Well, I can’t think what she was passionate about.”
Definitely NOT First Lady material. Both Trump and Melania have no business being in the White House, and their presence is an insult to Barack and Michelle Obama, who worked so tirelessly for America.
