Paul Ryan took office for the first time in 1999 and didn’t call it quits until January 3rd of this year when he made the decision not to run for re-election again. And according to Tim Alberta’s new book, “American Carnage,” which is set to release on July 16th, Ryan’s decision to call it quits has everything to do with the Trumpster.
The former House Speaker told Alberta that his decision to retire from Congress was his “escape hatch” from having to deal with Donald Trump any further and said that Donald’s presidency is on a quick downhill slide.
According to copies obtained and published by the Washington Post, Ryan supposedly isn’t such a huge fan of Trump, despite all of the disgusting ass-kissing he took part in while holding the position of House Speaker.
“We’ve gotten so numbed by it all,” Ryan stated. “Not in government, but where we live our lives, we have a responsibility to try and rebuild. Don’t call a woman a ‘horse face.’ Don’t cheat on your wife. Don’t cheat on anything. Be a good person. Set a good example.”
Paul went on to tell the author that Donald was completely clueless to the inner workings of the government when he took his undeserved place in the White House in 2017.
“I told myself I gotta have a relationship with this guy to help him get his mind right,” Ryan said. “Because I’m telling you, he didn’t know anything about government… I wanted to scold him all the time.”
The former House Speaker said that he and many others tried to keep Donald from “making bad decisions.”
“All the time,” Ryan stated. “We helped him make much better decisions, which were contrary to kind of what his knee-jerk reaction was. Now I think he’s making some of these knee-jerk reactions.”
Alberta also noted that Trump views Paul Ryan as a “fucking Boy Scout.”
This is like the dude that tells the barbershop he loves the cut then writes a shitty Yelp review when he gets home.
