White House Addresses Claims Of Tension Between POTUS And His VP After Pence Polls Higher Than Trump

Looks like there's a little trouble in paradise!

Rumors of a replacement for Vice President Mike Pence in the impending 2020 election have been swirling for some time now — with some reports even claiming that Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner have discussed putting former UN ambassador Nikki Haley in Pence’s place on the 2020 ticket.

Of course, the White House has vehemently denied these claims and Donald himself continues to stand firm in his public assertion that things are peachy keen between himself and his right-hand man.

But according to a new report from Yahoo! News, just under the surface of the Pence/Trump relationship, things are beginning to boil over between the two.

One Trump adviser, who claims that the president asks his staffer’s opinion on the Vice President and his aides from time to time said, “The perception is that Pence’s team is difficult to work with. That just doesn’t come up organically. Somebody is saying that to the president.”

And it seems that Pence’s team is not ignorant of the fact that there are sectors of the White House that would like to see a different running mate on Donald’s 2020 campaign.

One Pence advisor stated, “There are certain pockets out there that want to solve their problems by replacing the running mate. But we’re on the team. We might be JV, but we’re helping re-elect him.”

Trump has continually perpetuated the claim that Mike is an “outstanding VP,” but in their report, Yahoo! News pointed out one episode that was indicative of the opposite.

Recently Pence’s aides requested that 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale test the vice president’s favorability during their spring polling.

Parscale attempted to avoid the situation by telling the Pence team that it was too late to add the question, but it was already on the poll and was conducted in 14 different states. After it was all said and done, Pence came out with a lead over Trump — which Parscale tried to hide from both the president and the VP.

However, Pence’s fundraiser, Marty Obst, obtained a copy of the poll through a mole inside the Trump campaign.

Add that to Nikki Haley’s recent public denial of her possibly being a Pence replacement (which the White House felt gave legitimacy to the rumors) and Trump’s tensions with his “outstanding VP” are extraordinarily high.

According to several Pence advisors, Trump has recently been subjecting his VP to “loyalty tests” — which may explain why Pence just spent two nights at Trump failing hotel in Ireland, 200 miles away from where he needed to be, knowing that it would cause a lot of controversies.

“He’s on a tightrope,” one RNC member who helped put Pence on the 2016 ticket stated. “If he takes Mike Pence off the ticket, that would just be despicable.”

One former Trump/Pence advisor stated that he feels like Pence could relieve a lot of tension between himself and the president if he just made it known that he wouldn’t be giving Donald any competition.

“All of this would go away if he announced he wasn’t running for president in 2024,” he stated.

But that speaks volumes to Trump’s ultimate plan, considering he’s not even eligible to run in 2024.
