Trump Devastated By New 2020 Candidate In Latest Poll, Puts His Re-Election Campaign In Jeopardy

Trump might want to stop talking about his second term now.

The confidence Donald Trump has had about the probability of a second term for him and his administration has been nauseating, to say the least. Trump began his re-election campaign nearly the second he began his first term, and he’s continued to insist that he’ll be sticking around in 2020 despite having a still-horrendous approval rating and major investigations against him. Just recently, he asked Chief of Staff John Kelly to stay on through 2020 — which means he’s nearly 100% certain he’ll be elected again.

Thankfully, The Donald lives in his own little alternate reality and he’s about to get what’s coming to him. Just a few weeks ago, Trump mocked former Vice President Joe Biden and said that running against him would be “a dream.” Trump said in an interview:

I dream about Biden. That’s a dream. Look, Joe Biden ran three times. He never got more than 1 percent and President Obama took him out of the garbage heap, and everybody was shocked that he did. I’d love to have it be Biden.”

Trump is about to eat his words. Now, Biden is 7 points ahead of Trump according to a Politico/Morning Consult poll gauging the outcome of the 2020 election.

In the hypothetical poll, 44 percent of registered voters chose Biden while only 37 percent chose Trump — so the current President of the United States might want to shut his mouth and get to work before he suffers another humiliating failure. Much of America has been crossing their fingers for Biden to run again, and while he has teased the idea and had more than his fair share of jabs at Trump, the former VP has yet to announce anything.

While Trump is an extremely flawed and problematic candidate for 2020, the Democratic Party will still need a strong candidate like Biden to take him down. We can only hope Biden answers America’s prayers.
