Donald Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, seem to be spending more and more time apart as the president unravels under his failing presidency.
Marking yet another holiday where the couple would not be spending it together, Melania’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham has announced that Trump and his wife would be spending New Year’s Eve apart. CNN reporter Kate Bennett stated on Twitter that Melania would be in Florida celebrating at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort instead of at the White House with the president:

This was also the case for the Trumps at Christmastime, as Melania stayed at Mar-a-Lago (before rushing back to Washington after Trump’s “poor me” tweet) and Trump was at the White House pouting over his government shutdown, which has now gone over a week. Earlier this morning, Trump was whining about it again on Twitter:
I am in the Oval Office & just gave out a 115 mile long contract for another large section of the Wall in Texas. We are already building and renovating many miles of Wall, some complete. Democrats must end Shutdown and finish funding. Billions of Dollars, & lives, will be saved!”

This means one of two things (or maybe both): the Trumps’ marriage is in dire condition, or the president is having a major breakdown while he’s alone in the White House and Melania will have to leave Florida to rescue her unstable husband again, just like she did on Christmas Eve when Trump tweeted about how he was “all alone” in the White House. Truly, all joy had left the White House after the Obamas left.
