Sarah Sanders Betrays Trump, Calls John McCain An “American Hero,” Reveals Trump’s Funeral Plans

Not even Trump's own press secretary agrees with him on this.

While the country is mourning the loss of Senator John McCain (R-Az.), the White House is having to find ways to hide the fact that Donald Trump is a vile human being who has no soul.

Since McCain’s tragic death in which the senator succumbed to brain cancer, most politicians have made statements honoring McCain’s life and contributions to America. The president, however, has not. In fact, he did the complete opposite after McCain’s death, and it took the president a pathetically long time to issue even a half-a** statement to McCain’s family. Trump also nixed White House messages that would recognize McCain as an American hero and stopped flying the flag at half-staff far earlier than it was appropriate. It’s clear that even after McCain’s death, Trump intends to keep insulting him.

Yesterday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was asked about Trump’s plans to attend McCain’s funeral as she was leaving Reagan National Airport, and her response was telling. Sanders’ reaction made it clear that she is embarrassed by the president and is having a terrible time defending him. In response to a reporter’s question about whether or not Trump would attend the funeral, she said this:

Loading...

I’ll keep you posted.”

That is just insane. The fact that this funeral is not a clear priority for the president speaks volumes. In contrast, former presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush have already planned to not only attend McCain’s funeral, but to personally speak. And yet our current president has made no such commitment and no one will be surprised if he decides to play golf instead.

Sanders then went directly against her boss when the reporter asked if she would attend McCain’s funeral. Without hesitation, she said, “Absolutely” and called McCain an “American hero” — a statement that rivals Trump’s insults against the war hero. Sanders also called McCain’s death a “great loss for our country.”

When Trump sees this, he’s going to have a fit. You can watch Sanders betray Trump below:
