After Donald Trump put her in danger when he leaked the details of her trip to visit troops in Afghanistan, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi came out swinging and made a complete fool of the president.
As Trump’s little leak caused major security concerns, Pelosi and the Democrats who intended to go on the overseas trip to the active war zone had to cancel their trip. Pelosi explained:
We had the prerogative to travel commercial and we made plans to do that until the administration leaked we were traveling commercially and that endangers us. We weren’t going to go because we had a report from Afghanistan that the president outing our trip had made the scene on the ground much more dangerous, because it’s just a signal to the bad actors that we’re coming. You never give advance notice of going into a battle area. You just never do.”
Pelosi also took a jab at Trump, noting that only an “inexperienced” POTUS would have made a stupid mistake like that. However, she said that “the people around him should have known that,” and the more experienced Trump officials put everyone’s safety as risk by not stopping Trump. She said:
The fact that they would leak that we were flying commercial is a danger not only to us but to other people flying commercially. It’s very irresponsible on the part of the president.”
Pelosi also mocked Trump’s immaturity when she was asked if she thought the president’s cancellation of her trip was him lashing out after she asked him to reschedule his State of the Union address due to the government shutdown. Pelosi said:
I would hope not. I don’t think the president would be that petty, do you?”

As usual, Pelosi makes a class act of shaming Trump, with the utmost elegance and grace.
