House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seems to be living rent-free in Donald Trump’s head these days. He’s been quarreling with Madame Speaker for a couple of days now after made a comment about him being involved in a “cover-up.” So far it’s resulted in multiple Twitter meltdowns, including a fake video of Pelosi tweeted by Trump, as well as numerous public meltdowns over the whole situation.
As Donald spoke with reporters outside the White House today before his departure for Japan, he made it very clear that he’s still big mad.
The president was asked by a reporter if he thought it was appropriate to share a video of the House Speaker to his Twitter account that was deceptively edited to depict Pelosi as crazy and inebriated.
“What do you hope to accomplish with your personal attacks on the Speaker?” the reporter asked him.
Donald responded to the question with yet another fit of rage.
“Excuse me. This just shows how fake you and the news are!” Trump fumed. “When you say a personal attack — did you hear what she said about me long before I went after her? Did you hear? She made horrible statements, she knows they’re not true, she said terrible things! So I just responded in kind!”
He then went on to attack Pelosi and the Democrats for continuing to carry out oversight and conduct investigations into him and his administration.
“They’re hurting our country. Very, very badly. We can pass so many different bills right now, but all they want to do is investigate because they failed with Robert Mueller, the Mueller report. They want to try to get a do-over of the Mueller report,” Trump whined. “It doesn’t work that way. And just so you know, I was the most transparent — and am — transparent president in history.”
It just wouldn’t be a true Trump rant if he didn’t take the opportunity to attack the Mueller report as well, regardless of the situation.
