Trump Wants To Nominate Himself For Prestigious Award, His Reasons Why Are Revolting

This just makes me want to throw up.

It seems like just yesterday Donald Trump was being outed for hanging up fake Time Magazine covers at his golf courses, portraying himself on Time “covers” that the magazine had never even created. But even after being told to remove all the fake magazines from his clubs, Trump is still trying to get his face on the cover for something positive — and he has an idea that will make most of us sick to our stomachs.

Earlier today during an impromptu press conference at the White House, Trump stated that he should be chosen for Time Magazine’s Person of the Year award. Trump said this as reporters asked him who he thought deserved the magazine’s honor this year, and Trump’s answer proved how self-centered and egotistical the president is. Speaking in the third person, he said:

I can’t imagine anybody other than Trump. Can you imagine anybody other than Trump?”

Trump got the honor once before in 2016, when he was elected president. Some former presidents have received the honor twice, such as Richard Nixon, Ronald Regan, and Harry S. Truman — but most of us can agree that Trump’s presidency doesn’t deserve such an honor again.

Trump has stated that he led the Republican Party to a “tremendous victory” in the midterms (even though MANY contenders lost and the Democrats took back the House of Representatives). Trump is also nominating himself for Person of the Year as his own daughter and advisor Ivanka has been exposed for sending emails from her personal account — something Trump demonized Hillary Clinton for in 2016.

And just to prove how much Trump does NOT deserve this honor, the president is such a misogynist that didn’t even know the real title of the award. Completely ignorant of the fact that Time Magazine changed the name of its award from “Man of the Year” to “Person of the Year” in 1999, Trump asked:

It’s called Person of the Year, right? It’s no longer Man of the Year, right?”

Someone this sexist, selfish, and insane does not deserve to be Person of the Year.
