Trump Tries To Save His Son From Senate Subpoena, Says “My Son Is A Very Good Person”

We won't be 'surprised' if he doesn't comply with the subpoena.

Recently, one of Trump’s spawn, Donald Trump Jr., was subpoenaed by the Senate Intelligence Committee in connection to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. Funnily enough, Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney had no sympathy for the situation. But nevertheless, the move pissed off quite a few Republicans, and Don Jr.’s dad was top of the list.

Trump was speaking to reporters outside the White House today when he was questioned whether he was caught off-guard by the subpoena that was issued to his son.

“I was very surprised to see my son,” Trump answered. “My son is a very good person. He works very hard. The last thing he needs is Washington, D.C.”

“He’s now testified for 20 hours or something,” he continued. “A massive amount of time. The Mueller report came out. That is the Bible. The Mueller report came out. They said he did nothing wrong.”

Trump claimed to reporters that his son was under investigation for meeting with Russia while doing “oppo [opposition] research” against Hilary Clinton.

“My son is a good person,” Donald harped. “My son testified for hours and hours. My son was totally exonerated by [special counsel Robert Mueller], who, frankly, does not like Donald Trump. Me, this Donald Trump.”

“And, frankly, for my son, after being exonerated, to now get a subpoena?” POTUS whined. “To go again and speak again after close to 20 hours of telling everybody that would listen about a nothing meeting? Yeah, I’m pretty surprised.”

It seems that Trump Sr. is pretty upset that his son is being held accountable for his own actions. But we’re not quite sure why he’s so worried about it, considering we’re pretty positive Donald will just direct his son to completely ignore the subpoenas as he’s done with everyone else thus far. We don’t believe for a second that Don Jr. will be complying with his subpoenas any more than Attorney General William Barr did.
