As a confessed sexual offender and a man with several rape cases against him (one even involving a child), it should come as no surprise that President Donald Trump would make light of sexual abuse. Once again, the president has made a terrible joke about sexual assault on camera – but at least this time, Trump wasn’t talking about his own actions.

The attendees of Ohio’s state Republican Party dinner were horrified during Trump’s speech as the unhinged president went off the handle and made a disgusting joke at the expense of sexual assault victims. In his speech, Trump praised the college wrestling career of Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-Ohio) and spit in the faces of athletes that Jordan failed to protect.

For those who are unaware, Jordan is currently running for Speaker of the House but has been significantly hampered due to allegations from Ohio State University’s former wrestlers, who have claimed that Jordan ignored numerous sexual abuse reports about the school’s athletic doctor while he was coaching at the university.

But of course, Trump has a history of praising men who both perpetrate and protect sexual abuse, which was why he fawned over “the great Jim Jordan”. Trump said:

You know, people don’t know this about Jim, he was one of the best wrestlers ever in college wrestling. And when you see the way he fights, every time he fights I say to my wife, ‘look at that guy, that is tough.’ He lost one match in three years of college.”

The of course, Trump made a horrible, cringeworthy joke as he said, “Don’t ever wrestle him.” You can watch this terrible moment below:

Trump’s insensitivity and ignorance has no limits. This is an insult to all the affected Ohio State wrestlers and every victim of sexual abuse – even Trump’s own victims. A president should never speak so highly of people like Jordan and many other GOPers who have been involved in similar sexual abuse scandals – but Trump has raised them up (cough cough, Roy Moore) – because they remind him of himself.
