Trump Makes Major Promise To Save GOP In Midterms, What He Said Is Hilarious

Trump seems to love setting the bar high so he can fail.

The Republican Party knows that it’s in big trouble thanks to the horrific way Donald Trump’s presidency has played out. With several inhumane policies, a tax cut and healthcare fiasco, international relationships on the line, and more scandals than the White House can contain, most Americans cannot wait to vote blue in the midterm elections and start cleaning America up.

The GOP knows that the future of the party is on the line, and Trump’s investigations and personal drama is going to be a major obstacle. Trump, however, still believes he is the party’s savior and has vowed to save his fellow Republicans and stump for them “six or seven days a week” to help them win in November. In an interview with Sean Hannity, Trump said:

I am going to work very hard. I’ll go six or seven days a week when we’re 60 days out, and I will be campaigning for all of these great people that do have a difficult race, and we think we’re going to bring them over the line.”

Trump also said he’s making his team provide him with a list of Republicans that may be vulnerable so he can “help” them. He said:

Loading...

Give me the top 25 congresspeople that are, you know, could go either way, and I want to go out and campaign for those people.”

This is kind of hilarious, because Trump either has no self-awareness or he’s perfectly okay with lying to his party members. As we’ve seen with his performance as POTUS, Trump is the laziest president we’ve ever had. His lack of stamina has embarrassed America whenever he has international trips, as he lags behind other world leaders and can’t show up to critical meetings on time. He dips out of important discussions early so he can play golf. He doesn’t even work full days and takes weekends off.

Trump does not have the work ethic or energy to make such a promise — unless he plans to do all his campaigning over Twitter. We predict that the Republican Party is going to experience a major disappointment in Trump during the midterms — perhaps they will finally know how the rest of America feels.
