Donald Trump gets more terrifying by the day, and his refusal to take even a hint of responsibility for his actions is going to have consequences that none of us are prepared to deal with.

Even after several recent hate crimes have been linked back to unhinged Trump supporters and the president’s hateful, divisive rhetoric, the president continues to ignore the obvious and has even promised to “tone it up” instead of soften his hate speech. Earlier today, Trump responded to a recent ABC News/WaPo poll which stated 49 percent of Americans accurately believe that Trump encourages violence in his speeches, and the president’s response was disgusting.

When Trump was asked about how his speeches and messages were being interpreted, the president flipped out, denied any wrongdoing, and said “fakes news” was “creating violence” with these kind of “questions.” He said:

No, no, you know what, you’re creating violence by your questions. You are creating, you. And also a lot of the reporters are creating violence by not writing the truth. The fake news is creating violence.

And you know what? The people that support Trump and the people that support us, which is a lot of people, most people, many people, those people know when a story is true and they know when a story is false. And I’ll tell you what, if the media would write correctly and write accurately and write fairly, you’d have a lot less violence in the country.”

Holy crap. This should make EVERY person who isn’t a Trump voter drag themselves to the voting booths next week, because we cannot continue to have people like Trump and his spineless GOP minions running this country any longer. You can watch this disturbing exchange below:

We have never needed to invoke the 25th Amendment like this before.
