This poll is going to set Trump off for the rest of the week.

Donald Trump has tried to do everything in his power to distract America and discredit the Russia investigation, but the country has just told the president how they really feel.

Trump completely botched every single one of his 9/11 messages yesterday, which will only serve to lower his approval rating even further. As if this week couldn’t get any worse for him (and it’s only Wednesday!), a new CNN Poll is about to shake any remaining hope the president had left. According to a poll conducted by SSRS, America actually approves of Special Counsel Robert Mueller more than Trump now.

According to the poll, Mueller’s approval rating for handling the Russia investigation is now 50 percent — which is 20 points ahead of Trump’s approval rating. The poll shows a disturbing trend for Trump; that over the past year the gap between Trump and Mueller has only continued to get bigger.

According to the data, Mueller’s rating continues to go up while Trump’s rating goes in the completely opposite direction. Without a doubt, the president’s constant outbursts about the Russia investigation, his exposed lies, and the new pleas by members of his inner circle is opening the public’s eyes to how horrific of a president Trump is.

The poll also brought up another hard fact to swallow: The number of Americans who want Trump to be impeached is nearly the same as those who don’t — there’s just one point between them (and that’ll probably change soon).

The fact that this poll came from CNN is probably going to set the president off on one of his “fake news” rants, and he will likely follow it up with an inaccurate Rasmussen poll (yes, he has actually become that predictable). But try as he might, Trump can’t ignore the facts forever — Americans are tired of his drama and games, and they are encouraging Mueller to move forward.
