Roger Stone’s Indictment Is Wild, Filled With Scary Threats To Protect Trump: “Prepare To Die”

This is just not how innocent people act.

Yet another one of Donald Trump’s longtime allies has been indicted, further signaling that the president’s time is becoming very limited.

Roger Stone was arrested by the FBI earlier today over counts of lying to congressional investigators, witness tampering, and obstruction. And thanks to some court papers that have been unsealed, we’re getting a terrifying look into the kind of people that Trump was surrounding himself with.

Prosecutors are accusing Stone of threatening an associate who hosted a radio program, trying to scare this anonymous person enough to prevent them from testifying about Russian meddling in the 2016 election — a clear effort to protect the president and his inner circle. The indictment, which is 24 pages long, notes that Stone had called this associate “a rat,” threatened his dog, and even drew inspiration from mafia movies like “The Godfather” to get his point across.

The indictment calls out several messages from Stone to this associate, all of which are extremely damaging to Stone and Trump. In an April 9 email, Stone had said:

You are a rat. A stoolie. You backstab your friends-run your mouth my lawyers are dying Rip you to shreds.”

Stone also said he would “take that dog away from you,” and “I am so ready. Let’s get it on. Prepare to die (expletive).”

In a text from December 2017, Stone said:

If you testify you’re a fool. Because of tromp I could never get away with a certain (sic) my Fifth Amendment rights but you can. I guarantee you you are the one who gets indicted for perjury if you’re stupid enough to testify.”

Also in December, Stone told this associate to “do a ‘Frank Pentangeli’,” referring to a character in “The Godfather: Part II” who declines to testify due to threats from the mob.

In yet another email, this one from May, Stone said, “You are so full of (expletive). You got nothing. Keep running your mouth and I’ll file a bar complaint against your friend.”

Once again, Trump and his inner circle have been caught acting very suspicious and like they have everything in the world to hide. This is just not how innocent people act.
