Reagan’s Daughter Comes Forward About Sexual Assault, Rips Trump’s Attacks On Kavanaugh Accuser

This is the kind of testimony that makes men like Trump VERY nervous.

While Donald Trump may have fooled America at first by acting like he was interested in hearing the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who is accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault decades ago, the president has recently resorted to trying to discredit her in Twitter attacks. Trump recently tweeted:

If the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents.”

Trump also criticized Ford for not being able to state the “date, time and place” that the assault happened.

This has caused many women to come forward with their own reports about why they didn’t come forward for many years about their own trauma and sexual assaults, causing the hashtag #WhyIDidntReport to trend on Twitter. The latest high-profile person to raise her voice is going to make everyone in the Republican Party lose their sh*t — because it’s Ronald Reagan’s daughter.

In a powerful op-ed in the Washington Post, Patti Davis told America (and all ignorant GOP men and rape apologists) why she didn’t come forward for years after she was raped 40 years ago. In defense of all women who have been through similar experiences and then criticized once they come forward, Davis wrote:

I never told anyone for decades — not a friend, not a boyfriend, not a therapist, not my husband when I got married years later.”

Davis stated that her attacker was a music executive, who she had met to discuss the songs she had written. Davis recalled:

He was … on top of me — so quickly — with his hands under my skirt and his mouth on mine, that I froze. I lay there as he pushed himself inside me.”

Davis also stated that she was unable to recall many important details from the attack — which is a common occurrence. In response to Trump’s attack on Ford for not being able to remember less important facts, Davis ripped Trump apart by explaining to him how the mind processes trauma:

It doesn’t surprise me one bit that for more than 30 years, Christine Blasey Ford didn’t talk about the assault she remembers. Your memory snaps photos of the details that will haunt you forever, that will change your life and live under your skin. It blacks out other parts of the story that really don’t matter much.”

Davis further ripped Trump apart by suggesting that the “aging men” who question women like Ford should consider the “courage it takes for a woman to say: Here is my memory. It has haunted me for decades … you need to know about it now because of what is at stake in this country.”

Coming from the daughter of such a respected Republican president, this is something that is going to reflect VERY badly on Trump, who is already on very bad terms with women in this country and on the GOP’s sh*tlist for what he’s going to cost them in the Midterm elections.
