He's been lying this entire time!

As news slowly begins to trickle out regarding the plethora of Trump administration officials that were, in some way or another, involved in Donald’s shady phone call with the Ukranian president that’s now serving as the ultimate demise of his presidency, it’s safe to say that dozens of Trump cronies are scrambling to cover their own asses right now.

Frankly, they don’t have a whole lot of time to work with. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Adam Schiff, and several other House Democrats are working at an astounding pace to have this whole debacle wrapped up and over with before you sit down for your holiday dinner this December.

So with very little time to put together a solid plan, folks like Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have gotten more than a little sloppy in their scatterbrained defense of the president and themselves.

Just shortly before the transcript of the Ukraine call went public, Pompeo looked straight into the eyes of Americans during a segment with ABC’s “The Week” and vehemently insisted that he had absolutely no knowledge of the conversation because he’d never seen it.

The Secretary of State was quickly pinned as a liar when the Wall Street Journal dropped a report with proof that Pompeo actually personally sat in on the call in question.

Now, in a breaking report from CNN, just mere hours before the State Department Inspector General will hold his “urgent” briefing with Congress members regarding crucial documents related to the Ukraine scandal, Pompeo has admitted, “I was on the phone call.”

The Secretary of State’s revelation came during a news conference with Italy’s foreign minister this morning, as Pompeo finishes out his visit to Rome.

After dodging questions and simply lying to Americans across the nation, this is the first time that Pompeo has admitted to his involvement in the scandal.

“The phone call was in the context of — now I guess I’ve been secretary of state for coming on a year and a half. I know precisely what the American policy is with respect to Ukraine. It’s been remarkably consistent, and we will continue to try to drive those set of outcomes,” Pompeo stated during the conference.

“It’s what our team, including Ambassador (Kurt) Volker, were focused on, was taking down the threat that Russia poses there in Ukraine. It was about helping the Ukrainians to get graft out and corruption outside of their government and to help now this new government in [Ukraine] build a successful thriving economy. It’s what the State Department officials that I’ve had the privilege to lead have been engaged in. And it’s what we will continue to do. Even while all this noise is going on,” he continued.

But don’t think that his admission equates to sudden cooperation from the Trump sycophant. Pompeo went on to state that he objects to demands that “deeply violate fundamental principles of separation of powers.”

“We will, of course, do our constitutional duty to cooperate with this co-equal branch,” he went on. “But we are going to do so in a way that is consistent with the fundamental values of the American system. And we won’t tolerate folks on Capitol Hill bullying, intimidating State Department employees. That’s unacceptable, and it’s not something that I’m going to permit to happen.”

The Dems best gear up for a difficult fight. Because these people have no intention of going down easily. Even when the proverbial blood is still staining their hands.
