Major Trump “Accomplishment” Falls Apart, POTUS Loses Giant Factory Deal

He will probably hide for the rest of the week over this.

This won’t surprise anyone at this point, but yet another one of Donald Trump’s deals and promises to his supporters has blown up in his face and is no longer a reality.

While Trump had confidently celebrated a deal in which Foxconn would be building a giant plant in Wisconsin for advanced liquid crystal display panels, it seems as if the president had made the announcement far too soon. He is now being humiliated, as Foxconn has recently announced that the plant is no longer happening. Louis Woo, special assistant to Foxconn CEO Terry Gou, said:

In terms of TV, we have no place in the U.S.”

This is VERY different from the promises Trump made about all the jobs and business that would come of the Foxconn deal. In July 2017, Trump had hosted the company at the White House and made a “major jobs announcement,” introducing the deal as just one example of how he was “making America great again.” Then, in June 2018, Trump once again humiliated himself by saying the Foxconn factory would be “the eighth wonder of the world” and would prove that his administration was “reclaiming our country’s proud manufacturing legacy.” We bet Trump is regretting all of that bragging now!

The Foxconn deal seemed problematic from the start. With a multibillion-dollar tax giveaway to Foxconn being arranged by then-Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), there were major concerns from the start. And yet, Trump still chose to highlight the deal despite all of the red flags. Clearly, he’s paying for it now.

This is just one of many deals that Trump has failed to bring into fruition, and he is truly exposing his lies about being a master dealmaker.
