This is BIG.

There is currently a suspect in custody, 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc, for the mail-bomb attacks that dominated headlines earlier this week. Those bombs were mailed to several prominent Democrats and critics of Donald Trump, such as former President Barack Obama, Hillary and Bill Clinton, former CIA Director John Brennan, former Attorney General Eric Holder, CNN, and several more.

Sayoc, whose van was predictably covered in Trump stickers, was arrested at an auto parts store in Florida. And if you look at his disturbingly pro-Trump Twitter account, it all makes perfect sense. This guy has a history of threatening Democrats and making inflammatory statements, as well as a history of previous arrests.

Given Sayoc’s history, someone should have seen this coming. In fact, this was reported — and no one did anything about it. Political commentator Rochelle Ritchie has just come forward with her own experiences with Sayoc, and called Twitter out directly for ignoring the harassment she experienced from Sayoc. Ritchie stated that she had reported to Twitter Sayoc previously and the social network had refused to take it seriously – which was obviously a huge mistake. Posting screenshots, Ritchie wrote:

Hey @Twitter remember when I reported the guy who was making threats towards me after my appearance on @FoxNews and you guys sent back a bs response about how you didn’t find it that serious. Well guess what it’s the guy who has been sending #bombs to high profile politicians!!!!”

How can Trump and the GOP continue to refuse taking any responsibility for the actions of their own fans and the violent political climate they’ve created? The truth could not be more obvious now. Twitter is going to wish they took Richie’s report seriously, because the backlash is going to be big.
