Americans all over the country are realizing that the political situation in the United States is one of the biggest threats we’re facing right now, especially right ahead of the upcoming Midterm elections. High-profile people are more passionate than ever about getting power back into the hands of more level-headed people and away from psychopaths like President Donald Trump and his corrupt minions in the Republican Party.

One of the most recent people to join the fight is billionaire Michael Bloomberg, who announced earlier today that he was re-joining the Democratic Party, raising eyebrows and making some wonder if he might be planning to run in 2020.

This is a powerful statement about how poorly the GOP has been performing. For years, Bloomberg was a registered Republican while he was mayor of New York City, but he left the party in 2007 to become an Independent. Bloomberg’s new registration as a Democrat is a strong signal that he realizes that the GOP must be destroyed by any means necessary if this country is to have a bright future.

In explaining his choice to go under the Democratic Party, Bloomberg wrote about the need “to provide the checks and balance our nation so badly needs.”:

At key points in U.S. history, one of the two parties has served as a bulwark against those who threaten our Constitution. Today, I have re-registered as a Democrat – I had been a member for most of my life – because we need Democrats to provide the checks and balance our nation so badly needs.”

That’s a major statement against the Republican Party and the horrific leadership that has taken place under Trump. This upcoming midterm election could be one of the most important turning points of our country because we can’t withstand much more of what Trump and his rich white buddies are doing.
