With the conclusion of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, the entire country has waited with bated breath to know the contents of the findings. And we’ve repeatedly been left disappointed. Attorney General Bill Barr released a 4-page summary just days after receiving the report from Mueller, but suspicions quickly arose that, due to the Attorney General’s history with Trump, his summary of the findings was biased at best — leaving us all to wonder what was really contained in that report.

It wasn’t long at all before the Trump administration, amid squeals of “exoneration,” were simultaneously doing everything they could to block the release of the full Mueller probe to Congress as well as the public. It now appears that our collective suspicions were spot on — as Attorney General Bill Barr has just released a letter to lawmakers stating that he will be releasing a redacted version of the Mueller report by mid-April.
It was reported just days ago that Senator Mitch McConnell voted to block the release of the report — because it would be “advantageous” to Democrats — and that Barr would first be sending the 400-page investigation to the White House first to allow the president to make any redactions that he found necessary.
At this point, it is safe to say that the American public, and possibly even the members of Congress, will only be seeing 400-pages of blacked out text, leaving us yet again with more questions than answers.
Barr did state in his letter that he would be willing to testify before both committees on the findings contained in the Mueller report. However, we already know that Barr is in deep with the Trump administration, and at this point, we can hardly trust a word to come out of his mouth.
This move is likely to leave the public as well as members of Congress pretty pissed, quite frankly. It seems everywhere we turn, someone somewhere is trying to hide the tracks of Donald Trump at our expense.
